Ocean Meadow is very excited to announce the approval of the Ocean Meadow Community Garden Area! While getting to know our new homeowners during the construction process, many shared with us their passion for gardening.   We listened and presented the idea of a Community Garden to the West Newbury Planning Board.  On Tuesday, 09/15/08 we were approved to build a ¾-acre Community Garden area!   The Garden area has been located and staked, and construction will begin immediately, in hopes of having it ready for planting next year.  We will follow up with more details throughout the course of the winter season.   Stay tuned!

Walking Trails

Ocean Meadow will be offering walking trails behind our community that will lead to the Mill Pond Recreation area.  Currently, it is not yet established but will eventually be a great asset to our community.   Most of our homeowners love to get out and walk, so in the meantime, they have mapped out a one mile loop within the community for exercise.   They are out there in the morning and evenings. The Mill Pond recreation area has existing walking trails as well for added hiking and exercise.

Our homeowners are starting to sample the fine dining in downtown Newburyport. Most recently they visited the Black Cow on the waterfront.  The Black Cow offers great steaks as well as fresh seafood and an outside bar and dining in the warmer months.  In the winter months, there is a fireplace in both the bar and dining room.   They said the food was sensational!  Stay tuned for more restaurant updates in the future.  Visit the Black Cow website @ www.blackcowrestaurants.com  Let us know what you think?
